New Additions to the Team

The R.L. Hill Management family has recently grown and we would like to introduce our new additions to the team. Our new employees bring an invaluable amount of experience and knowledge, and are hardworking professionals who have successfully built and managed construction projects in a multitude of markets. Please see below for a more detailed biography on each:

Marcellus Byrd

Marcellus joined the R.L. Hill Management team as a Senior Project Executive and is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a BA in Construction Management & Technology.  He is an experienced construction manager with 21+ years of experience in the industry.  He has a diverse construction background with commercial building experience in K-12 education, higher education, healthcare, federal, sporting venues, mixed-use development and high-rise residential.  Marcellus is results driven with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and being a true advocate for the client.  He is a LEED Accredited Professional and 30-Hour OSHA trained.

Mike Kerr

Mike joined the R.L. Hill Management Team as a Senior Project Manager bringing with him over 25 years of construction experience in retail, healthcare, and industrial sectors.  Mike is a success driven professional with extensive experience in the construction industry. He is proficient in planning, exceptional leadership, and communication skills.  Mike began his career as a member of Laborers Local #310 and worked his way up through the ranks from tradesman to foreman to superintendent before moving to Project Manager and then Sr. PM.

Mitch Zaharewicz

Mitch recently joined the RL Hill team as a Project Manager after returning home from a 2-year term in Chicago. He brings nearly 10 years of construction experience including projects in the Healthcare, Aviation, and Entertainment sectors. Mitch understands the critical nature of maintaining good relationships with clients, subcontractors, partners, and end users, actively looking to build and maintain them throughout the course of his projects.

Kristie Wenzel

With 12 years of experience in the construction industry, Kristie Wenzel joins the R.L. Hill Management team as the Contracts and Marketing Manager. Kristie has held roles as Construction Project Engineer, Project Administrator and Marketing Coordinator in several industry leading companies in the Cleveland area. Ms. Wenzel has assisted with projects in the education, cultural/non-profit and commercial market sectors.

Tim Kerr

Tim is an experienced Project Manager bringing with him over 25 years of experience in the construction industry.  Tim is a success driven professional with extensive experience in both preconstruction and construction.  Tim began his career as a member of Laborers Local #310 and worked his way up through the ranks from concrete labor, field survey engineer, superintendent, Assistant Project Manager, and Project Manager.

Building Our Future Project

R.L. Hill Management is pleased to announce that our company has been selected by Sherwin-Williams as one of five minority construction management firms to work on building its new global headquarters in downtown Cleveland and a research and development center in Brecksville.

The project, which is named the Building Our Future Project, is expected to start later this year and is estimated to cost $600 million, with more than $100 million in public incentives. The headquarters will be about 1 million square feet and the research and development center is slated to be about 600,000 square feet in size. The two facilities will have more than 3,500 employees and is estimated to bring at least 400 new jobs over time.
