R. L. Hill Management Inc. served as the associate construction manager along with Gilbane for this $158 Million, 432,000 square foot, 7 floor 108 bed medical facility including outpatient, inpatient, emergency services, as well as a medical office building. R. L. Hill Management oversaw all concrete and structural steel erection and was responsible for producing and managing RFI’s, submittals and change orders. This community hospital focused on patient and family centered care. This project accomplished LEED B, D and C Silver Certification. Designers considered the environment in every aspect of the facility. Some of the features of the University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center are organized to maximize the use of natural light-enhancing energy efficiency. The natural landscaping also uses native plants and materials which further conserve resources by requiring less maintenance and water.
